Phone lines and fibre services are changing, and Ubi has the knowledge and options to ensure you have the right ones for your organisation. Key things to keep in mind:
It’s not complicated
Changing phone lines should be a simple, stress-free exercise. All you are doing is swapping one type for another that runs over the internet. Think of it like moving from incandescent to LED light bulbs. Same result, different technology.
It’s not about changing your system
Change is happening over the next 2 and a half years, but this doesn’t mean that you have to change your system or move to cloud. Most of the systems supplied over the last 5 years are 100% compatible.
It should be better
New technology means that you will have free calls, lower costs and greater flexibility in the event of a problem.
It should not mean a long-term commitment
Four, Five or even 7 years, don’t over commit. Most new lines include free calls for any contract from a 12-month commitment.
It may not be necessary to have lines
Cloud technology means that you may not need lines, just good internet access. So check this thoroughly before you commit to lines.
It will last for years
At present there is no technology beyond ‘IP’, so once you’ve changed you shouldn’t then have to do it again for many years.
It does not mean changing numbers
All standard telephone numbers can be ported to the new technology.
